This has been invaluable as a platform on which to build a capaign to quit the evil cigs.
It has two sections. The first challenges you to think about smoking by asking you questions and asking you to pause the CD while you think.
This process gives you the perspective you need to move forward by getting you visualise life free from cigs.
The best part is the second section in which Paul Mckenna uses his powers of hypnosis to get the message deep into your sub-conscious mind. Whenever I think about smoking a bunch of thoughts intervene before I have dwelled on it long enough to be fully tempted.. It's been an almost effortless first week of no smoking including last night when I went out and got drunk!
The easy way to quit

This really works. After trying everything else and failing, this has set me free. I can be around smokers and barely register that they are smoking. Some urges in the first few days, but the coping techniques in the book work well. I don't know how it works, but it is truly unbelievable. If it worked for me, it can work for anyone. Thanks Paul!!
Just Willpower?

3 Days after first watching this DVD and I've gone from 20 a day down to ZERO a day.

That might sound impressive but I am not convinced that this will work for everyone. Firstly, as McKenna says right at the beginning of his introduction - you have to 'want' to give up smoking - he can't 'make' you stop. Secondly, this method still requires some willpower as I will now explain.

I got this DVD with an open mind. With a new baby daughter in the house, I really wanted to quit. The DVD is in 2 parts, firstly there is an introduction which explains a little about 'why' you are addicted and sets up a few methods for battling any cravings you might get.

The second part of the DVD is relaxation and hypnosis. Whatever myths you have about going into some sort of trance-like state - forget it! This is more like a really deep, tranquil, peaceful meditation and although I did actually drift off to sleep the first time I watched it, it is not the sort of hypnosis you might have seen on McKenna's TV shows (no wondering around pretending to be a chicken then!)

Ok, so having watched the DVD, you instantly feel different about smoking, the cravings and desire to smoke have gone, if they come back, you have techniques (breathing deeply really helps) to help you combat the craving.

In my experience (so far), the cravings WILL happen! However, I have been smoking for the last 13 years and until a few days ago; I was on 20 a day, more when I'd be out and about or in stressful situations. BUT, my trepidation and fears about losing my stick of nicotine were not as well founded as I expected - actually, day one was ok, had a great desire to have 'just one' but resisted (actually watched the DVD again as recommended), day 2 was horrible - I guess my body was crying out for a fix but I managed to resist the temptation (somehow although it got very close). Day 3 - craving still there but dramatically reduced - I don't want a cigarette now - I'm a non-smoker right!?

Only time will tell - I'm determined not to smoke anymore - I have nothing to lose and everything to gain by stopping but if you're ordering this DVD, don't assume it will be an easy road. I cannot categorically say that this DVD stopped me smoking, it might be that I would have stopped anyway but I believe it has helped. I went out and purchased this DVD having firstly rented it - I recommend it to anyone who is SERIOUS about stopping.

Just my 2p's worth!
